For many businesses, it's not a lack of demand that's preventing them from growing. The issue is finding the time and resources to fulfill that demand.

If you're going to scale your business you need to free up as much time as possible—and that starts with automating your business processes.

Here are a few places to start:

  • Use chatbots to answer questions from prospective customers
  • Use Calendly to automatically schedule consultations
  • Create automated email sequences to streamline communications with leads and customers
  • Use Zapier to connect your marketing tools and eliminate repetitive tasks

More automated processes allow you to work on your business, rather than in your business.

Outsource your work

If after automating your business you still find you don't have enough time in the day then you might need to bring in some help.

Here are a few tell-tale signs that it's time to start outsourcing:

  • You're unable to fulfill all your customer requests
  • Your customer service is suffering
  • You can't maintain your quality standards
  • You're missing some necessary skills

If you're making your first hire, consider going with a freelancer rather than a full-time employee. This will give you a chance to try outsourcing without making a long-term commitment.

Explore new marketing channels

When you're first building your business it makes sense to focus on only one or two marketing channels that you're comfortable and familiar with.

However, eventually you'll reach a point where you've essentially tapped a channel out. If you want to keep growing you'll need to identify other avenues for acquiring new customers.

Do you do most of your marketing on Facebook? Consider trying a new platform like TikTok. Do you get most of your traffic through organic search? Consider targeting some new keywords with paid search.

As your audience grows you can also explore options like virtual summits or live events.

Get creative and don't be afraid to experiment with new marketing strategies.

Develop new products and services

One of the best ways to grow your revenue is to expand your offerings.

Once your business is established, start listening to your customers. Do they frequently ask questions that could be solved with a new product or service? Are there other issues you can resolve for your customers?

By creating new offerings you'll not only keep your current customers coming back, but you'll also attract new customers that wouldn't have otherwise discovered you.
