According to unclaimed property laws, accounts are considered unclaimed when there has been no login for 3 or more years. If you do not log in to your PayPal account by April 28, 2024, state law requires us to send the funds in your account to the Texas State Treasurer’s office and any future claims for those funds will have to be submitted to that office. Once the funds are turned over to the State Treasurer, all interest, dividends, income and gains earned on the property will remain with the Treasurer even if you claim the property from the Treasurer. What do I need to do? To avoid the closure of your account and remittance of your funds to the Texas State Treasurer you must log in. This is the only requirement to keep your account. Withdrawal Options Make a purchase and pay with PayPal Transfer to your bank. Log in to your PayPal account and click Withdraw Money and choose by bank, select the bank you would like the money sent. Review the details and click Submit. Transfer your funds to another PayPal account by logging in and clicking Pay or Send Money. Request a check. Log in to your PayPal account and click Transfer to your bank, Select check by mail instead. Select the address you would like the money sent and click Submit.
